Project SAFE

The University of Nebraska Psychological Consultation Center offers a program at the Child Advocacy Center called Project SAFE.  Services are provided by therapists who are doctoral students in clinical psychology at the University at no cost to our families.  Free child care is also provided if needed.  Services provided by Project SAFE include:

  • 12 week support group for child victims (age 7-16) and non-offending family members
  • 3-6 brief individual counseling sessions
  • Crisis counseling

Sometimes a family is already involved in counseling in the community, but still might want to take advantage of the 12-week support group.  Be sure to ask your child advocate for a referral to Project SAFE.
